Wieck on the Darß

Protected from westerly winds by the Darßwald forest, the officially recognised resort is located in the «Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park» on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula.

A place with history and lots of nature. The former fishing village on the Bodden is dreamy and quiet. But there is no chance of getting bored in the resort of Wieck on the Darß. The National Park and Guest Centre, the Darßer Arche, is the heart of Wieck. It opens up «The National Park from above – Nature in Motion!» to visitors with its exhibition. Impressive aerial photographs of the Bodden landscape give visitors a fascinating insight into nature's workshop. The exhibition is like a walk-in photo album.

Wieck a. Darß waterway rest area
The harbour in Wieck is a small marina in an idyllic location on the northern shore of the Bodstedter Bodden. The Wieck harbour offers moorings for a total of 18 boats, is 1.4 m deep and, in addition to the moorings for boats, also has a bathing area. The square in front of the harbour in Wieck is quite large and is perfect for parties, where the barbecue area, small playground and sanitary facilities can be used. The harbour is also the home port of some lovingly and enthusiastically restored and maintained traditional boats.
