Natural remedy: Climate
Climatherapy is based on the interaction of special climatic stimuli such as the effective factors of the sun, the wind, the water and the forest. In climate therapy, the human body is exposed to the climatic and weather-related effective factors in individual doses.
In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the sea climate plays the main role. Compared to inland areas, the winds are stronger at the sea and the air temperature and humidity are more stable. In addition, there is more sunshine. The maritime stimulating climate is ideal for strengthening the immune system, has a positive effect on the respiratory organs and increases the metabolism. Special forms of climatic therapy are heliotherapy and climatic exercise therapy, in addition to reclining cures and air baths.
Climatic exercise therapy
Climatic exercise therapy serves to strengthen the immune system and increase personal performance. In particular, long walks along the Baltic Sea coast, preferably with Nordic walking poles, are a good way to increase activity, as the poles relieve the spine and leg joints.
Heliotherapy
Heliotherapy involves the controlled irradiation of the entire body or specific parts of the body with sunlight in the form of a sun bath, primarily for the treatment of skin diseases. It is also used for degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system and to alleviate rheumatic complaints. Sunlight stimulates the body's immune system and has a positive effect on the psyche.
