On the smugglers' trail...

Along the Recknitz, past salt marshes with their special nature, there used to be a customs checkpoint between Vorpommern and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - precious salt, the white gold, was smuggled here. Learn about the history and healing powers of salt.

We follow in the footsteps of the old spa guests through the spa gardens with ancient trees and remnants of the old salt culture. We return through the old "farming town" to the Café Wunder Bar (refreshments available). Here we get the key to the church. We then walk along romantic paths back to the mill at the water hiking rest area. Here we have a short salty snack and exchange ideas.

Sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing are recommended.
